FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Chronic Health Problems Healed with Local Weeds
Harvested and Prepared from Home
Author of four best-selling books and founder of the Wise Woman Center, Susun Weed encourages people to look to the green allies growing underfoot, or otherwise easily accessible, to help themselves heal through chronic problems. This upcoming late summer class will address, among other problems, concerns such as asthma, allergies, joint pain, candida, indigestion, headaches, backaches, PMS, menstrual pain, and much more.
Come learn with the woman known for her empowering teaching styles. Find your source of healer within, your strength of knowing. Learn how beautiful and whole you are. And work with your problem as ally.
The day-long workshop," Chronic Problems," will be taught by Susun Weed at the Wise Woman Center on August 22, 2010, from 10am-5pm. Open to men and women. You'll be outside among the plants with Susun and the goats, learning to identify, harvest, and use local plants for food and medicine. Weather permitting the class leaves promptly at 10:15 a.m. for a talking stick ceremony and a weed walk in the woods with the goats. You will have lots of time to learn to identify and talk about plants and ask questions. When the goats take a break, you will prepare and enjoy a wild food lunch. Class size is small to allow personal attention. Class held indoors in case of rain.
Each one-day workshop with Susun Weed at the Wise Woman Center costs $75 and includes talking stick ceremony, a weed walk, wild-food lunch, and instruction.
