FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Learning Botany is Fun with Susun Weed at the Wise Woman Center
Woodstock, NY (PRWEB) August 26, 2006 -
Susun Weed, founder of the Wise Woman Center in Woodstock, NY, world-renowned author and herbalist, is known for her expressive style of teaching. With her colorful stories out amongst the plants that abound the many acres, one is sure to find learning botany easy and fun.
You can recognize thousands of plants in just one day—by learning plant families. With your hand lens (provided), you'll discover the secrets of flowers, find marvelous mint family members, crazy kasha family plants, amazing asteracea, and have fun, too.
For any student of the plants, botany is a necessary part of their studies. Learning about plants through this lens, intensifies, magnifies, and deepens one’s ability to use them as herbal medicine. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore this necessary study enjoyably.
“Rowdy Fun With Plant Families” will be held at the Wise Woman Center on August 26, 2006, from 10am-5pm. The cost is $75, with a $10 discount if paid one week ahead, and $20 discount if paid two weeks ahead. Class includes a delicious wild foods lunch.
Weather permitting, the class leaves promptly at 10:15 am for a walk in the woods with the goats, where you will have a talking stick ceremony, and lots of time to identify and talk about plants and ask questions. When the goats take a break, a wild food lunch will be prepared and enjoyed. Class size will be kept small to allow personal attention. Class held indoors in case of rain.
